No. Michigan is a no fault state. The only requirement is that there has been a breakdown of the marriage to the extend that the objects of matrimony have been destroyed and there remains no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.  


MCL 722.27(1) the presumption is that it is in the best interests of the child for that child to have a strong relationship with both parents. The court is directed to order parenting time that promotes a strong relationship between the child and the noncustodial parent.


The Michigan Child Support Formula determines the amount of child support based off both parents income and the amount of overnights per a Court Order.
